For this first post, I thought I would give an introduction to this blogging website by explaining what it is and why I started it. I have written a book, which I intend to be the first in a series, called War of Shadows: Ha'achava. War of Shadows is the name of the series and the first book will be available through the Barnes & Noble Press. When I went to publish the ebook version, it asked for the author's website and I thought that having one would be a good way to promote my book, build my own brand, and serve as a good creative outlet.
The website is divided into different sections, the principle ones of which are as follows:
About. This section will serve as an introduction to the blog with a little information about me and the website. It will also include the email by which users may contact me.
War of Shadows. This section will be dedicated to the book series of the same name that I am currently writing. It will include links to where to purchase the electronic and print versions of each novel, as well as posts with additional information about the series and the world which it inhabits.
Blog. In addition to War of Shadows, I will also use this website to write a blog. This will consist of the following sections:
Books. Posts here will discuss literature. They will mainly consist of analyses of books that I enjoy and other topics realted to literature.
Movies. Posts here will discuss the movies. I intend to write a series of posts dedicated to one of my favorite films, and also intend to write reviews and commentaries related to the subject.
Music. Posts here will discuss music, another favorite topic of mine. I will mainly write about music that I enjoy, but will also write about related topics such as what I think about the kind of music being released today and what I think makes a great album.
Miscellaneous. Any posts that don't fall under the other three areas will be posted to this section. These may consist of any of a variety of topics from current events, to history, to professional wrestling.
I had been toying with the idea of a blog for some time, but was hesitant due to a variety of factors. I thought that people might enjoy reading posts from someone who is down to earth enough to not be some kind of pretentious expert, but educated and open-minded enough to not be an imbecile.
That's it in a nutshell, I intend to post every week and hope that you will visit regularly. Feel free to email me from the About section with any ideas you may have for posts or to offer feedback.
