The Cultured Grunt
WELCOME,
My name is Steve Shaha, welcome to my Blog, The Cultured Grunt. The name for this was chosen to reflect the dual aspects of my life that will be reflected in my posts.
The cultured part comes from my being well-read (I have my parents, particularly my English teacher mother, to thank for that) and having a Master's Degree in Professional Communications.
The grunt part comes from growing up as the son of a U.S. Army officer, and serving in the Army myself as an enlisted man, eventually becoming a Sergeant before being medically retired.
The blog was created as a way to market the novel that I wrote, War of Shadows, which is available through the Barnes & Nobel Press. I also wanted to share my love for books, movies, and music. The posts on this Blog are organized into those three categories, and a Miscellaneous category that will consist of posts dealing with other areas such as current events or sports.
